Welcome to the Preschool Ministry at Northview Baptist Church. We recognize that preschool years are filled with astounding growth and rapid development. We also recognize that this development was created by God. We know that children between birth and six years learn over half of all they will learn in life during these formative years. This is a critical time of foundation building for all that will follow.

Our goals is to encourage children to connect to God’s love for them and to enjoy the adventure of being part of the family of God. Our children enjoy familiar Bible stories, quality Christian children’s literature, and experiential learning as we learn about God’s love for us through art, music, drama, and play.

We take your children’s safety seriously and insist that there be no less than two people caring for them at all times. Our staff is diligent about involving children in education that is age appropriate and Christian based. Toys, books and puzzles are in abundance and snack time is offered in the morning. Cribs for napping, rocking chairs and changing tables are available for parental use as well.

We encourage parents to be involved in the preschool ministry from volunteering to serve in the classroom on a quarterly rotation, helping provide nutritious snacks or even help lead music, crafts or story time in various age groups.

We encourage you to provide bottles, sippy cups, snacks or any comfort items for your child, but please ensure each item is labeled with your child’s name and in their bag for safe keeping. We are also a peanut-free zone and we appreciate your cooperation in this effort.

We have classes for infants through Pre-K every Sunday at 9 AM and 10:30 AM.
Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to each class.

Care for preschoolers is also available during Wednesday night Bible Studies and Adult Choir rehearsals beginning at 6PM.

How can I know that it is secure?

At check-in, you’ll receive a name tag with a unique code for your child, and one “claim tag” matching the code to ensure safety at pickup. We will also ask for your cell phone number to contact you in case you are needed during the service.
